Rajni’s appreciation is like an Oscar to me: Actor Sudeep

Posted by Editor on August 3rd, 2012

naan-ee-sudeep

When the film Naan Ee was released in Tamil Nadu, not one of the cast and crew had come for the promo work. Even for the premiere show of Naan Ee only the producer and the dialogist Crazy Mohan were only present.

Since this film was a perfect duper hit, they'd arranged for the click meet. Only actor Sudeep, lyricist Madhan Karky and dialogist Crazy Mohan were found in this press meet also.

Actor Sudeep while speaking in this occasion said, ” Director Rajamouli called me in the future and told me that we will do a movie. He also told me the tale in four lines. He said, “A girl and boy are in love. You don’t love it so that you kill the boy at some point. The boy is reborn as house fly and takes revenge on you.”
I kept quiet for a while and gave my nod. I NEED TO act thinking that there's a house fly. That is also not so difficult but for graphic sequences, four times of lighting might be used than the traditional shootings. Once the director says cut I WILL BE ABLE TO immediately rush and canopy myself with wet cloth. Now I'VE the reaped the advantages though it was such a lot tough on the time of shooting.

People in Karnataka who have no idea this language are enjoying this film greatly. If Ram Gopal Varma had reached me throughout India, I should say that director Rajamouli has reached me within the world. Sooner or later impulsively Rajni phoned. He came at the line of my closest friend who was with me.

My friend gave me the telephone and didn't mention who was at the other end. I USED TO BE capable of recognize that whose voice was it. I USED TO BE unable to invite that if it was Rajni sir. He kept on appreciating me. I took this appreciation as though I had got an Oscar Award. I had come to Chennai time and again. No person was in a position to recognise me at the moment but now even supposing I happen to attend for the signal, children waive the hands at me. I'M really happy.”

Shriya plays Princess in Costliest Bilingual “Chandra”

Shriya plays Princess in Costliest Bilingual "Chandra"

Gone are the times when high end remunerations were meant just for heroes and directors. Today, even heroines are demanding quite a lot. Though this culture is yet to spread fully in Tollywood, it should be said that the likes of Tamannah, Kajal Agarwal and others are already touching Rs 1.5 crores.

Amidst this, one sexy siren who has received Rs 50 lakhs is regarded as the most costly heroine. She is none instead of Shriya Saran. It's heard that Shriya got this amount for her bilingual venture titled ‘Chandra’ that's being made in Kannada and Tamil. With this, she is the costliest actress of Sandalwood.

While that may be a great achievement there, it's going to not be so for Shriya personally. For somebody who has worked with the likes of Rajnikanth, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna etc, Shriya’s profile is way higher but if bad time is running nothing much will also be done. Her receding opportunities and absence of offers landed her with ‘Chandra’ and Shriya is profiting from it now.

Chandra is a Period-fantasy Tamil-Kannada bilingual film directed by Roopa Iyer. Featuring Shriya, Ganesh Venkatram and Prem Kumar within the lead roles. The film deals with the lifetime of a final generation princess and her love story. Chandra is a joint production of India Classic Arts and Listo Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
