Neenu Karthika in Director Sanjay Ram’s flick
Director Sanjay Ram is arising with a fresh release starring actress Neenu Karthika in female lead. Sanjay who debuted with Thoothukudi in Kollywood followed it up with Aadu Puli Aatam’s and Iyakkam. His films are particularly noticeable for his or her gore content and unnecessary bloodshed, to mention the least.
His forthcoming titled Rosa might be a welcome change. Choosing a lighthearted subject the director is bringing back Aarvam actress Neenu to the screens. Sanjay himself plays a prominent role onscreen along side actor Vaali. Either one of them play cousins within the movie, who lend out loans for terribly high interests rates. Rosa could have actress Neenu share the nice company of Sowgandhi, as her sister. “When director Sanjay narrated the tale to me I knew the role had a large number of scope. Rosa will certainly give me the massive break in Kollywood,” believes Neenu. Set in a rural background, she has a de-glamorous search for Rosa, donning the role of a lower middle class girl. The film is produced under Lingam Theaters banner. Composer Stephen Royal has scored the music for Rosa that had a single release recently.
Sarathkumar Applied For President Election
With the elections for Nadigar Sangam around the corner, Sarath Kumar, the president of South Indian Film Artistes Association chose to file his nomination for the highest post again. He together with his team members Radha Ravi, Vagai Chandrasekhar among others filed their nomination for the polls on Thursday.
Sarath Kumar succeeded Vijayakanth last time after the previous chose to go into politics full time. Sarath Kumar could also be the president of All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi and is a sitting MLA from the State Assembly.
Natty Kumar’s ‘Pani Thuli’ in Hindi too
Director Natty Kumar’s ‘Pani Thuli’, a romantic thriller set within the US, could be released first after which the makers will settle on the Hindi release. The Hindi film is titled ‘Tum Ho Yaara’, in keeping with actor Ganesh Venkataraman who plays the lead role within the bilingual.
He says they shot each scene twice, once for Tamil and once for Hindi.
Besides Ganesh, the film stars new comers Shobana and Kalpana.
Ganesh plays Shiva who's a software engineer. His love, Meera, who's very ambitious, forces him to visit US where he gets involved with another girl. How the issues arising out of this affair change Shiva and his life is the story.
Whatever Ganesh expected in a launch film are all their dance, comedy, suspense and action. At the suspense element, Ganesh says, “Even through the narration, I USED TO BE unable to foretell what would happen within the next scene.”
The film was short for 30 days in Chennai and 62 days within the US.
Ganesh also stars in Kavithalaya’s ‘Muriyadi’ with Sathyaraj. That is the remake of the Malayalam film ‘Passenger’ that could be released later this year. His first big role as a Sikh youth was in Director Radha Mohan’s ‘Abhiyum Naanum’.
Story of Karunas’ ‘Chandamama’
Tamil cinema’s leading comedian Karunas is currently playing the protagonist in two movies- ‘Chandamama’ and ‘Ragalaipuram’. Shooting for the films, both comedy capers, are happening on a quick track.
‘Chandamama’ is being directed by Radhakrishnan, who has also penned the story, screenplay and dialogues. Lyrics are by Vairamuthu, while music is by Srikanth Deva. Ananda Kuttan is wielding the camera.
“How a standard man called Santhanakrishnan makes it big as Chandamama along with his writing skills is the crux of the tale. It's been loaded with humour and family sentiments,” says Radhakrishnan.
Shooting for the movie is currently on in Chennai and the crew will soon leave for an out of doors schedule. Swetha Basu is playing Karunas’ heroine, with M S Baskar and Ilavarasu doing key roles.
Karunas producing and starring in ‘Ragalaipuram’
Actor Karunas is producing and playing the hero in ‘Ragalaipuram’. Angana is the heroine. Kovai Sarala, Bharath Reddy, M.S. Bhaskar and Pavanl play important roles. Velraj is the cinematographer and Srikanth Deva the music director.
Mano, who directs the film, says the one aim to make this film is to maintain the audience in a hilarious mood throughout.
He had written the comedy portions when he was working under directors Sundar C, Suraaj and Shakti Chidambaram and this experience could be very useful to him now when he directs ‘Ragalaipuram’. With this movie, Karunas will rise to a brand new level in acting. The film is being made on a large scale, Mano told reporters.
Ezhil’s ‘Manam Kothi Paravai’ – Sneak Peek
Director Ezhil has a name within the industry of constructing ‘clean’ films sans needless violence. His last film was Deepavali which starred ‘Jayam’ Ravi and Bhavana within the lead and released within the year 2007. After a self-imposed hiatus, the director is back in action and has launched Manam Kothi Paravai (MKP).
The film not just marks Ezhil’s comeback as a director but it surely also has him as one of the most producers. Despite the nice name he has earned within the film industry after directing the likes of Vijay, Ajith and ‘Jayam’ Ravi, Ezhil is a level-headed person with out a starry airs around him. “To be starring within the same director’s film now as hero is actually satisfying and emotionally draining,” says Siva who also has Marina directed by Pandiraj as his other film.

But all goes for toss. Discover why within the climax. Its more of affection meeting a bonding.
Vimal is cool and offers his best in his new avatar. He's at his ease and portrays his role well. Vimal, who hitherto played a rural youngster in films like Pasanga, Kalavani and Eththan, featuring him as a modern, city-based man.
Kajal Agarwal’s sister Nisha Agarwal, who played the feminine lead within the original was signed to reprise her role making her debut in Tamil cinema. she does her best to maintain the film going. Santhanam’s one-liners as usual tickle your funny bone. While the remainder of the solid play their part well.
Music is S Thaman compliments the theme. It's youthful and stylish. The songs are picturised well. Seka Joseph’s camera captures some lush posh locations. Interestingly Balaji Real Media which made some masala flicks like Osthi have chosen to do a hearty one.
All said, the movie could have its dull attempts. But forget them, Ishtam will for your Ishtam.

B Nagi Reddy Memorial Film Awards Function
K.V. Anand’s blockbuster movie ‘Ko’ has won the B. Nagi Reddy Memorial Film Award. The once a year award was instituted as a part of the veteran producer’s birth centenary celebrations.
‘Ko’ producer Elred Kumar received the award at a function organized to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of Nagi Reddy in Chennai. A cheque for Rs. 1.5 lakh was also presented to the producer.
Sowcar Janaki and K. Bhagyaraj, who served as judges, selected ‘Ko’ because the best entertainer for the year 2011.
The programme started with singer Unni Menon’s performance. B. Venkatrama Reddy welcomed the collection. AVM Saravanan, S.P. Muthuraman, lyricist Vairamuthu, and actors Prabhu and Nadia spoke.
S.A. Chandrasekharan, K.V. Anand and writer Suba were among folks who attended the function.

Films starring Arjun as police officer are full of action. Maasi is not any different. It has everything to enthuse action-lovers. Directed by Kitcha, Maasi is ready a police officer on a mission. He fights a gang of baddies in a bid to eliminate the society of criminals.
The movie boasts of an enormous star cast that incorporates Kotta Srinivasa Rao, Pradeep Rawat, Ponnambalam, Santhana Bharathy, Dhool Sakunthala, Bala Singh among others.
Maasi (Arjun) is a police officer specialised in encounters. He's a fear for criminals. He vows to eliminate the baddies - Naaga (Pradeep Rawath), operating from Mumbai and Nandha (Ponnambalam) who together with his henchmen controls Chennai. Interestingly there's a gang war between Nandha and Naaga.
Massi steps in. He suffers loss within the type of his wife, mother from the hands of those baddies. There's a political twist within the tale too. However he uses his muscles and likewise his brain to outwit them and accomplish his mission.
It is a normal Arjun in khaaki. Someone whom we had seen for a few years. He's good as usual in stunt sequences. The actor is youthful and bubbly. The heroines Hema and Archana don't have any part to play on this macho-man story. All of the villains speak from their belly and seem like caricatures.
Boopathy has done the camera and the chase and stunts are captuired well. Saleem’s editing is okay, while Dhina has get a hold of songs that sounds familiar to us. Anal Arasu’s stunts sequences holds our attention.
It is a beaten - to-bush storyline. A ll is predictable on this cop story. But Arjun’s screen presence makes the adaptation. Kitcha’s passion for khakhi continues

Nanda (hamchandran) is driven out of the home by his drunkard father. He with out a other option joins his friend who's a thug. Nandha meets Nandhitha (Meghnaraj). They fall in love with each other.But Nandha has to do a task entrusted to him.He has to bump off Knockout Chandran (Shanmugarajan), an election candidate for one Devaraj (Nasser), who's an influential man.
Hemachandran has tried his best as solo hero. He's okay in phases. Good in action sequences, he loses out on romance. Meghnaraj is apt for the role. She is at her best in romantic escapades. Nasser and Shanmugarajan deliver their best. The remainder of the solid form a part of the tale. But must give their best.
Ramshiva has tried to present everything in a single go. Romance, action, comedy in any respect. But he has missed out at the logic. The script meanders here and there. Nandha Nandhitha is an okay fare.
