Sarathkumar Applied For President Election

With the elections for Nadigar Sangam around the corner, Sarath Kumar, the president of South Indian Film Artistes Association chose to file his nomination for the highest post again. He together with his team members Radha Ravi, Vagai Chandrasekhar among others filed their nomination for the polls on Thursday.

Sarath Kumar succeeded Vijayakanth last time after the previous chose to go into politics full time. Sarath Kumar could also be the president of All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi and is a sitting MLA from the State Assembly.

Eppadi Manasukkul Vandhai Movie Trailer Launch

Eppadi Manasukkul Vandhai Trailer Launch function was attended by Kollywood celebrities like K.Bhagyaraj, Amma Creations T.Siva, Ganesh Venkatraman, Pandiraj, Kalaipuli G.Sekaran, RK Selvamani, Vasanthabalan, Jayam M.Raja and others. Vishwa, Tanvi Vyas starrer, The movie is Directed by PV Prasath and Produced by G Kicha. Music Director is AJ Daniel.

Neenu Karthika in Director Sanjay Ram’s flick

Director Sanjay Ram is arising with a fresh release starring actress Neenu Karthika in female lead. Sanjay who debuted with Thoothukudi in Kollywood followed it up with Aadu Puli Aatam’s and Iyakkam. His films are particularly noticeable for his or her gore content and unnecessary bloodshed, to mention the least.

His forthcoming titled Rosa can be a welcome change. Choosing a lighthearted subject the director is bringing back Aarvam actress Neenu to the screens. Sanjay himself plays a prominent role onscreen together with actor Vaali. Either one of them play cousins within the movie, who lend out loans for extraordinarily high interests rates. Rosa could have actress Neenu share the nice company of Sowgandhi, as her sister. “When director Sanjay narrated the tale to me I knew the role had a large number of scope. Rosa will certainly give me the large break in Kollywood,” believes Neenu. Set in a rural background, she has a de-glamorous search for Rosa, donning the role of a lower middle class girl. The film is produced under Lingam Theaters banner. Composer Stephen Royal has scored the music for Rosa that had a single release recently.

Review – Manam Kothi Paravai

Can Siva Karthikeyan pull it off as a solo hero? This was the question doing rounds within the minds of 1 and all. Here comes Manam Koththi Paravai and Siva Karthikeyan pass out in flying colours.

Directed by Ezhil, who made films like Thullatha Manamum Thullum, Poovellam Un Vasam and Deepavali, is back after a break, to render an engrossing entertainer.

The movie is more a fusion of romance and comedy. A stupid act by friends, lands a couple of in trouble. How they overcome it forms the crux.

Music is scored by D Imman while cinematography is by Suraj Nallusamy. Besides Siva Karthikeyan, the movie has Athmiya,. Parotta Suri, Singam Puli, Ilavarasu, Ravi Mariya, Srinath, Chaams among others.

Kannan (Siva Karthikeyan) who's an effortless guy in a village loves his neighbour Revathy (Athmiya), who family is dreaded by all within the village. They let their fists to do all of the talking. Kannan’s father (Ilavarasu) is a building contractor.

Kannan’s friends (Parotta Suri, Singam Puli and Deiva Thirumagan Kishore) decie to get him united with Revathy. Unfortunately her wedding gets fixed with a influential man within the neighbouring village and the chums have little time to understand their mission. They take the help
Enters Kannan’s friends from Mumbai (Sreenath and Chams). They kidnap Revathy and all troubles begins. What happens then forms the riveting climax.

Siva Karthikeyan does a tight job. His comic acts wins applause. He's cool and casual. Athmiya is comfortable before the lens. The on-screen chemistry is sweet. She has an incredible scope within the film.

Singam Puli, Parota Suri, Srinath, Vennira Aadi Murthy, Ravi Mariya, Vanitha among others play their part well.

Imman’s songs especially Po Po Po and Oorana Oorukulae deserve a distinct mention. Suraj Nallusamy’s camera captures secenes well.

Ezhil’s strength lies in strong story blended with humour. So is Manam Koththi Paravai. It will give one a feel of deja vu at places, but all is definitely and that ends well.

Verdict: Laugh riot

Story of Karunas’ ‘Chandamama’

‘Chandamama’ is being directed by Radhakrishnan, who has also penned the story, screenplay and dialogues. Lyrics are by Vairamuthu, while music is by Srikanth Deva. Ananda Kuttan is wielding the camera.

“How a normal man called Santhanakrishnan makes it big as Chandamama together with his writing skills is the crux of the tale. It's been loaded with humour and family sentiments,” says Radhakrishnan.

Shooting for the movie is currently on in Chennai and the crew will soon leave for an out of doors schedule. Swetha Basu is playing Karunas’ heroine, with M S Baskar and Ilavarasu doing key roles.

Natty Kumar’s ‘Pani Thuli’ in Hindi too

Director Natty Kumar’s ‘Pani Thuli’, a romantic thriller set within the US, may be released first after which the makers will settle on the Hindi release. The Hindi film is titled ‘Tum Ho Yaara’, in line with actor Ganesh Venkataraman who plays the lead role within the bilingual.

He says they shot each scene twice, once for Tamil and once for Hindi.

Besides Ganesh, the film stars new comers Shobana and Kalpana.

Ganesh plays Shiva who's a software engineer. His love, Meera, who's very ambitious, forces him to visit US where he gets involved with another girl. How the issues arising out of this affair change Shiva and his life is the story.

Whatever Ganesh expected in a launch film are all their dance, comedy, suspense and action. At the suspense element, Ganesh says, “Even in the course of the narration, I USED TO BE unable to foretell what would happen within the next scene.”

The film was short for 30 days in Chennai and 62 days within the US.

Ganesh also stars in Kavithalaya’s ‘Muriyadi’ with Sathyaraj. That is the remake of the Malayalam film ‘Passenger’ that could be released later this year. His first big role as a Sikh youth was in Director Radha Mohan’s ‘Abhiyum Naanum’.

Oil Pulling fame Dr Sharath Asokan honoured!

Dr Sharat Asokan, who introduced the famous oil pulling treatment for keeping teeth clean and healthy has honoured recently by Virudhunagar Rotary club.

He was felicitated by the Rotary community for receiving the celebrated the ‘Young Pedodontist Research Award’ and ‘Health Excelleny Award’.

Felicitation and appreciations aren't new to Dr Sharath Asokan. He has visited many nations like Canada and gave speeches on Dental care.

Local Rotary president Agni Ma Muthu, Madurai Apollo Hospital cardiologist Dr N Kasirajan and others graced the occassion.

D Imman on song

The making of the song Sahaayane within the film Sattai is making waves on the net. The music for the one track that was released recently is completed by D Imman, who post his excellent score in Mynaa is large in Kollywood.

This melodious number, which many state becomes highly regarded soon, have been delivered by Shreya Ghoshal. Her rendition of the words within the song have are available for praise besides. The 2 (Shreya Ghoshal and D Imman) have earlier worked at the catchy-and-melodious Neeyum Naanum song in Mynaa.

D Imman is all thrilled and happy on the way the song have been received. He says, ‘ it has encouraged me to present quality music. I'VE an enormous responsibility to fulfill my fans now’.

Lekha Rathnakumar composes for Telugu flick

Lekha Rathnakumar who better known for his interesting jingles and tele serials is now busy in composing music for Telugu thriller ’6′.

Being the 100th movie of Telugu star Jagapathy Babu, 6 is against the law thriller directed by Sri Kanth Linkat, a debutant. He's also make an appearance within the movie.

Speaking about his experience as a composer Lekha Rathnakumar says, “When I watched Srikanth’s ’6′ for the primary time, I understood that the movie needs music so much. So I worked out so much to design the proper music for a similar. Once I completed my work, the director pleasantly accepted that the film feels like a Hollywood make!”

Sri Kanth Linkath, the director of the movie is now signed Lekha Rathnakumnar because the music director for his next project also.
