- Soundarya Aswin Rajinikanth has her PR machinery in top gear. Every activity even remotely connected together with her directorial venture 'Kochadaiyan' featuring her father gets wide publicity. The primary poster showing Rajini in a Shiva Thandavam pose, released a month ago, instantly created a substantial amount of hype at the same time as the project was taking shape. The name of Rajini spells magic and his daughter knows it better than anybody else. Such a lot for the hype.
The other day a beaming Rajini in white kurta drove to A.R. Rahman's studio to record a song/verse for the film. Soundarya and poet-lyricist Vairamuthu were with Rajini on the studio. A source confirming this said "Rajini sir" has sung, rather recited, a bunch 'Kochadaiyan', set to music by A.R. Rahman. Vairamuthu wrote the lines. It's not a song as such that it does require a qualified singer to sing. This is a recitation of a lyrical verse, it's explained. That is the primary time Rajini lent his voice to Rahman's composition. It's ten years for the reason that superstar sung a song and the number was "Adikuthu Kuluru" for the film 'Mannan'.Vairamuthu is alleged to be ecstatic. He reportedly commented that forgetting the superstar that he is, he was so stuffed with child-like enthusiasm, looking ahead to instructions. Consistent with him, the lyrics convey a smart man's perspective of life. It has music in addition to Rajinis powerful recitation. "In Rajini's voice, my lyrics acquire new charm," Vairamuthu exulted. It's said A.R. Rahman was pleased with the output.
On the production front, things are moving at break-neck speed. Soundarya aims to wrap up the flick by June and release it in August. The team is able to take off for London on March 21 where the primary schedule of shooting will go on for roughly 20 days. Later, the rest portions might be shot in Chennai, Bangalore and Mysore.
Soundarya plans to release the film within the Japanese version as well, for Rajini has a sizeable fan following in Japan. From 'Muthu' to 'Enthiran', all of the superstar's films released in Japan were well received.
The 3D film to be shot using the movie capture technique has actors Jackie Shroff, R. Sarathkumar, Aadhi, Deepika Padukone, Shobana and Nasser playing important roles.
