CS Amudhan’s second film Rendavathu Padam has got in to hassle for demolishing some structures in Pondicherry.
Two crew members has been arrested by the police for allegedly demolishing a part of a bridge in Pondy, built by the French, while shooting for the film.
It is reported that the demolished element of the parapet wall of a bridge built by the French in 1840 around the Sankarabarani was destroyed by the unit. The bridge was utilized by morning walkers, cyclists and people riding light vehicles commuting between Puducherry and Cuddalore after the government has constructed a brand new bridge in its place.
