NEP’s offer – ‘’You will have the cake and eat it too – uncut even before baking’’
December the month of festivities has always made all and sundry happy, add another one to them Saint Valentine is blessings Tamil audience a year ahead – twice this year during the revered team of Neethane En Ponvasantham. Set for the December 14 release the crew is innovating at the go by releasing an online, TV and theatrical campaign, featuring scenes that aren't a part of the film, a fuel to already sky high expectations.
Love was within the air with Varun and Nithya’s story aptly accompanied by evergreen melodies spanning three decades in their life. NEP covers only 2 odd hours of those moments.
“There are such a lot of moments of their life that individuals will relate to, so one can not feature within the film. We would like people to observe these moments, get to understand Varun and Nithya better before coming to observe their story on screen”, says Gautham Vasudev Menon.
A special treat for the eyes are awaiting with the chosen scenes being released almost a month before the discharge of the film! Yes you heard us right the Team NEP goes two steps ahead by releasing the scenes before the discharge of the movie unlike the usual practice world over where the DVD is released after the movie release.
The scenes will feature Varun and Nithya in school, college and as adults. A COUPLE OF scenes will feature scenes between Varun and his ally Prakash (played by Santhanam in Tamil and Krishnadu in Telugu) can be part of this innovative campaign.
The campaign takes a cue from the tagline “this might be your love story” and can feature moments like “this may well be your first date”, “this might be your first fight” or “this might be your birthday party”. The makers of the film are extremely confident that the majority people will relate to those moments and notice them as incidents straight out in their lives – We can’t agree more can’t we?
