Film financier S Mukanchand Bothra has filed a petition within the Madras High Court seeking registration of a criminal case of cheating and breach of trust against actor Dhanush’s father Kasthooriraja. Kasthooriraja is a noted film director. The financier has complained that Kasthooriraja has taken a loan of 65 lakhs within the month of July and had issued two cheques for 40 lakhs and 25 lakhs as repayment. But both the cheques were returned for want of funds. It's alleged that though Bothra tried several times to contact the director, he couldn't reach him and hence he made a complaint with the commissioner. He also alleged that as there has been no response from the police he was forced to file a petition within the court. The court has issued notices to town police commissioner and deputy commissioner, returnable in two weeks time.
