Shriya plays Princess in Costliest Bilingual “Chandra”

Gone are the times when high end remunerations were meant just for heroes and directors. Today, even heroines are demanding rather a lot. Though this culture is yet to spread fully in Tollywood, it have to be said that the likes of Tamannah, Kajal Agarwal and others are already touching Rs 1.5 crores.

Amidst this, one sexy siren who has received Rs 50 lakhs is regarded as the most costly heroine. She is none as opposed to Shriya Saran. It's heard that Shriya got this amount for her bilingual venture titled ‘Chandra’ that is being made in Kannada and Tamil. With this, she is the most costly actress of Sandalwood.

While that could be a great achievement there, it is going to not be so for Shriya personally. For somebody who has worked with the likes of Rajnikanth, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna etc, Shriya’s profile is much higher but if bad time is running nothing much will also be done. Her receding opportunities and shortage of offers landed her with ‘Chandra’ and Shriya is profiting from it now.

Chandra is a Period-fantasy Tamil-Kannada bilingual film directed by Roopa Iyer. Featuring Shriya, Ganesh Venkatram and Prem Kumar within the lead roles. The film deals with the lifetime of a final generation princess and her love story. Chandra is a joint production of India Classic Arts and Listo Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
