Muktha Srinivasan making film on Indian dancesPGV [ Sun, Feb 19, 2012 ]
- Muktha Srinivasan has entered the Tamil film industry 65 years ago and has since been actively related to it. He has directed and produced 41 films. A few of these films were trendsetters.
Srinivasan has now arrange a brand new film company called 'Muktha Entertainment', a three way partnership together with his brother V. Ramaswamy's son Muktha Govind.
After a protracted interval, he's producing a movie titled 'India Nadanangal' under the banner 'Muktha Enterprises'.
What has motivated him to absorb this project so late in his career? He says most of India's proud art and cultural heritages have disappeared within the fast changing social environment. The one traditional art that also survives is dance. It's 'Nadana Kalaignar' Priyadarshini Govind who has advised him to do a movie at the subject.
