Pandiraj screens 'Marina' for cancer kidsPGVÂ [ Wed, Feb 22, 2012 ]
- 'Marina' director Pandiraj had announced on the film's audio launch that he would spend the profits from this venture at the welfare of poor children and destitutes, the likes of whom are found at the Chennai beach.
As a starter, there has been a unique screening of 'Marina' for youngsters below ten years of age who're suffering from cancer, on Feb. 15, that's observed as International Childhood Cancer Day. The film's hero Sivakarthikeyan and actress Anjali were present.
Pandiraj together with Mu Kalanchiyan, president of Tamizhar Nalam Kalai Panpattu Iyakkam, organized the show.
Anjali is quoted as saying that she was amazed by the strong will of the youngsters. 'I told them that cancer is curable and with the correct attitude, they are going to be capable of lead their life joyfully again. I'M sure the children are the confident lot.'
