Mynaa gave a large break for Vidharth, who was till then doing supporting roles in films. After Mynaa his next film ‘Mudhal Idham’ was released. Though the film had all of the entertaining elements it will not do the ‘Mynaa’ magic for Vidharth.

With high hopes this wonderfully talented actor has pop out with this filmKollaikaran! And, Vidharth has used his potential to his best to maintain the actor get going as hero!

The film tells a narrative how one must correct their mistakes they commit in life otherwise the similar mistakes if done repeatedly would spoil their entire life!

Vidharth as a petty thief escapes from police without getting nabbed. As he manages to flee everytime he starts doing atrocious acts. How these blunders affect his life is shown with a gripping script.

Thillalangadi fame Sanchita Shetty, who played Tamannaah’s sister within the movie, play the affection interest of Vidharth. She has done justice to her character by doing what the director has instructed. Ravishankar is another actor who has done an even job understanding his character.

Kollaikaran is directed by Tamizhselvan, former assistant of Seenu Ramasamy. The director has given the right combination of romance and comedy in a village setting. He has also tried to bring out the actual lifetime of the agricultural milieu and a message. The script might have been given some more work to take care of the steady pace.

New face Johan has scored the music. Songs are okay. Lyricist Vairamuthu’s lines touch your heart. Background score at some places gives some solace.

The film is produced by K V Prasad of Prasad Cine Arts.

Kollaikaran is a commercial cocktail with all of the entertaining elements.

Verdict: A watchable movie!
