Silver jubilee of Ilaiyaraja's 'How to call It?'PGVÂ [ Wed, Feb 22, 2012 ]
- 'Isaignani' Ilaiyaraja's daughter Bhavathari, who's a singer herself, plans to celebrate the silver jubilee of the maestro's studio album 'How to call It? by organizing a global tour to provide live performances. Joining the show are singers Ganesh and Kumaresh.
'How to call It?' released in 1986, was Ilaiyaraja's first instrumental Indian-Western fusion album, a non-film venture.
The album with ten tracks has musical movements which might be devoted to Saint-composer Tyagaraja (1767 1847) and the Western classical music composer J.S. Bach of Germany (1685 1750). One of the most ten tracks was in accordance with Johann Bach's works.
Announcing her plan through her micro-blogging page, Bhavatharini has invited ideas from fans and her brothers Yuvan and Karthick Raja and cousins Venkat Prabhu and Premgi. Sure, will probably be a reverential tribute to the Isaignani.
