- Actor Vishnu playing for the Chennai team within the Celebrity Cricket League tournament was badly hurt while batting within the final match in Chennai.
He stated on his micro-blogging page that he had a massive fracture. 'Don't know whether to feel sad about getting hit or happy about winning. But we won and that's the reason more important.'
He added that he must undergo surgery and require six weeks to recuperate.Vishnu plays the lead in 'Neer Paravaigal' directed by Seenuramasamy and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin.
Seenu is upset and fuming. He'll must look ahead to Vishnu to recover before restarting the shooting.
The project has already been delayed because of the on-going tussle between the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) and the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) over the wage hike issue.
Even if the dispute is settled any time now, Seenu has to attend longer to renew the work because Vishnu could be out of action for 6 weeks.
He has urged most of the film bodies to initiate measures to safeguard actors participating in games, especially cricket. He has expressed reservations about actors playing cricket with the true hard ball. Actors are mainly chargeable for film production and they have to be more circumspect, he says.
