Sengathu Bhoomiyile, a movie which deals with human relationsh is the only being directed by Rathna Kumar. Ratnakumar is the son of Veteran telugu singer Ghantasala and is a famous telugu dubbing artiste by profession. Then again he's a widely known dialogue writer and has penned dialogues for films like Karuthamma and Kizhakku Cheemayile. Interestingly he himself penned the story, screenplay and dialogues with the exception of direction.
Notably when the film was screened for maestro Ilayaraja exclusively, he had tears in his eyes after watching the movie climax. He appreciated the actors performance, dialogues and way the movie was presented.
Pavan and Mirchi Senthil portrayed the male protagonist roles and Priyanka and Sunu Lakshmi essayed their onscreen pairs. It was completely shot in Madurai and Theni areas.
