  • 'Irandam Ulagam' heroine Anushka Shetty has revealed what director Selvaraghavan desired to keep confidential till the film is released.

That she is playing a dual role on this film for the primary time is what the bubbly actress disclosed.

These are two contrasting roles one a gallant tribal woman and the second, an upward mobile urban belle. At one point, the stories of the 2 get linked up.

As a tribal woman Anushka is featured in two fiery stunt scenes. She learnt stunts under the tutelage of a Bombay stunt master for months together and this strenuous training was very helpful throughout the shoot, says the actress.

It is alleged Selvaraghavan didn't state that Anushka would play a dual role, as he desired to keep it confidential till the last minute. But Anushka let the cat out, though belatedly.Produced by Prasad V. Potluri under the banner of PVP Cinema, ' Irandam Ulagam' is rumoured to be a period film of fantasy and adventure .The makers are tightlipped and whatever reports that seem within the media emanate from the grapevine. Selva is out of reach.

Anushka plays opposite Arya. Others within the cast include Siva Karthikeyan, Y.Gee Mahendran and Radhika Sarath kumar.

Harris Jayaraj is the composer and Ramji is the cinematographer. Ramji had handled the camera for Selva's two earlier movies, 'Aayirathil Oruvan' and 'Mayakkam Enna'.This 'pet' project of Selva has taken many reincarnations and seen changes within the cast and crew because it was first launched in October 2006. It got aborted five times between November 2008 and September 2011. Finally, the project was baptized within the name of 'Irandam Ulagam' with Anushka and Arya within the lead and it went on floors on 24th December 2011 in Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad. It's not known how far the film has progressed.
