- Ace cinematographer and director Balu Mahendra has become older but his penchant for film-making has not diminished. He got to work on a movie he'll be cranking and acting within the. film revolves around an old man and a boy of 7. He desired to cast an 85-year-old man within the film but he has not succeeded in his search to seek out person who fits the bill. Given no option, the doyen of Tamil cinema has decided to play this character himself.
Balu Mahendra, who has given superb films like 'Moodupani', 'Moondram Pirai' and 'Veedu', has set himself high standards and strived to uphold them. Age doesn't appear to have sapped his energy in the case of film-making. He'll now be three-in-one (cinematographer, director and actor).
